St. Helena Hospital Foundation Announces Pfizer COVID-19 Vaccines for 12 – 15 Age Group

ST. HELENA, CA, May 12, 2021 – The Adventist Health St. Helena/St. Helena Hospital Foundation Mobile Health Unit is pleased to announce that we will begin administering Pfizer COVID-19 vaccines for adolescents ages 12 – 15, thanks to the generous support from Napa Valley Vintners. The Pfizer vaccine clinic will take place:

Thursday, May 13, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the St. Helena High School in St. Helena

"We are honored to continue our multi-decade partnership with the Napa Valley Vintners to ensure our Upper Valley community stays healthy during this pandemic," said St. Helena Hospital Foundation President and CEO Glen Newhart.

The Pfizer vaccine clinic will be the first offered in the Upper Valley to adolescents. “I am pleased that this partnership will allow us to extend our important work of advancing the health and safety of our community. Vaccinating our kids will move us further towards the goal of immunity for all of us,” said Dr. Steven Herber, president of Adventist Health St. Helena.

No appointment is necessary. All minors will need to have a parent present to receive the vaccination. All individuals must wear a face mask and practice social distancing.

Adolescents who have received other vaccines such as HPV are currently not eligible and will have to wait 14 days after the vaccine has been administered to qualify for the COVID-19 vaccine.
